Got a knock fm Stevebus @ 0645 got down to the estuary about 0700. Rigged
up my Neil Pryde MPR 6.3 with my Fanatic X 110. Firdt time I'd really
sailed it on flat water surprised on the ease, blasted out and back a few
times setting up the kit and getting back into carving again. Just as I was
settling down the camber broke!!!!! Got in sat for a while wondering what
to as I had a choice of either a Harrier 7.1 or a wave sail Windwing 5.2,
decided on the 5.2 went back out but only got on the plane a few times
after about 30mins gave up and came to rig my 7.1, as it felt the wind was
dying. A great chioce as it turned out was the perfect choice and spent the
next hour plaining and carving with ease. Was getting 80% of attempted
carves with about 50% coming out just off the plane and 20% on the plane.
Came back in to put a bigger fin on just as Al & Steve was packing up to go
went back out on the water Stevebus was also coming off the water leaving
Dave & Sarah I believe and another guy, I think would be Andy the rest was
the kitesurfers out. The water was going out fast but got another 40mins
before it was time to call it quits for the day.
All in all a great day 1 of the best for me in a long time. Feel ready
again for the waves, bring them on. :-)
